Love your enemies

As I followed the arrows around the building to the drive-thru, and just about as I was to enter the part where you place your order, a little old white Ford Escort came flying towards me going the wrong way and cut me off turning sharply to go into the drive-thru.

Xavier debating scriptures with Dad

I know that Bible bashing isn’t good, but this was funny.  Enjoy a little peek at our drive from Washington to Utah today. This was Xavier’s reaction when we said we were going to do our family scripture reading in the car. https://youtu.be/4uD3OiTHgB8   From the Primary Songbook: 1. Double Vision

Last week in Elders Quorum class, (a Sunday church class for the men in the ward/congregation),  the teacher asked the question “What would you do if you only had one day left to live?” It was based on a General Conference talk by Elder Godoy, titled “One More Day.”  We all gave different answers. Frère Mwamba

I remember having a talk with one of my missionary friends during lunch at a zone conference when I was a missionary in France. He was telling me about an amazing experience he had by finding a family, teaching them the gospel, and seeing them get baptized.  He said, “This is the reason I cameContinueContinue reading “Frère Mwamba”

I’m not getting baptized

Sometimes you recognize when you are witnessing a miracle. I knew that I was seeing a miracle first-hand. There was a very special feeling as all of this was happening. This was a miraculous time in Pau. The Spirit of God was so strong and the hand of the Lord was so obvious in the missionary work.

Changes in life

As I was flying from Atlanta to Salt Lake Sunday evening, I was reading some of my journal entries. I often take time during flights to write in my journal. I had just finished writing and came across this sweet experience in my journal from 3 years ago. 9/7/14 Julienne had locked her keys inContinueContinue reading “Changes in life”
