Yesterday I posted on my blog about a number of testimonies my family members had written while I was a missionary in France. These testimonies were given to me, I translated them into French, hand-wrote them in the front of a copy of the Book of Mormon (Le Livre de Mormon), and gave them toContinueContinue reading “Testimonies of the Book of Mormon – Eldred”

Testimony of the Book of Mormon – Joan
Recently I came across some testimonies of the Book of Mormon that had been given to me when I was a missionary serving in France. These testimonies were from some of my family members. I had taken them, translated them into French, hand-wrote them in the front of a copy of the Book of MormonContinueContinue reading “Testimony of the Book of Mormon – Joan”
Redeemer of Israel
It’s been a very uplifting and spiritual weekend. We had a visiting general authority and an area seventy come to our stake conference. We knew that we were going to be getting a new stake presidency. Our stake president had been serving for 9 years. Elder Randall K. Bennett and his wife Shelley along withContinueContinue reading “Redeemer of Israel”
Inside the temple of the Lord
As a follow up to my post on temples, this video explains what happens inside the temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It’s a great follow up to my Mountain of the Lord post. I was able to see some of the stained glass for the Rome temple before it wasContinueContinue reading “Inside the temple of the Lord”
God knows what you need before you ask
We have been reading in the Matthew in the New Testament in our Church studies. I just so happen to be reading in 3 Nephi 13 in my personal studies. The messages are similar. In Matthew Jesus is speaking to those in Israel, in the Sermon on the Mount. In 3 Nephi, he is speakingContinueContinue reading “God knows what you need before you ask”
Signs and wonders
I recently read 3 Nephi 1, in the Book of Mormon. This took place right before Jesus Christ was born. It talks about how many of the people did not believe that Christ would come as the prophets had said. Many said that nobody could know for sure that He would come. There were someContinueContinue reading “Signs and wonders”
The Widow’s Mite in Mexico
Two years ago, my daughter Maggie and I went on a humanitarian trip of sorts with a charity called A Child’s Hope Foundation. We traveled down to the Buena Vida Orphanage, in Baja, Mexico to work on the orphanage that they were building. We quickly grew to love these children, aging from toddlers to teenagers preparing to go to college.
Love your enemies
As I followed the arrows around the building to the drive-thru, and just about as I was to enter the part where you place your order, a little old white Ford Escort came flying towards me going the wrong way and cut me off turning sharply to go into the drive-thru.
Une soirée musicale
I wanted to share this music on YouTube so former missionaries and friends in France could enjoy this music. I love the music and the message, and it reminds me of Christmas, serving in France, listening to this tape. I hope you enjoy it. There are probably some French mistakes. If you want to messageContinueContinue reading “Une soirée musicale”
This is hydrocephalus
I’m a land lover. I am not crazy about flying. I like the rubber on the pavement and my feet on the ground. Up here in the Olympic Peninsula, they have these things called ferries. Not the kind you see in Fablehaven with magical powers, but the kind which float on water. They are largeContinueContinue reading “This is hydrocephalus”
