(My response to someone self-described as "blue hair, asymmetrical nose piercings, gay, and identifies as Agnostic") I like your writing style. I hope that you really don't think that all "Mormons" are bad. Just like any group of people, you'll get all kinds. I think that even though I'm a faithful church-going, (well, at least... What does it mean to “bear your testimony”?
Someone asked this question yesterday, "What does it mean to bear your testimony?" I'm guessing they are not of my faith. I'll call him Jim. Here is my reply. That is a good question Jim. As an active, practicing member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I would say that it means... Continue Reading →
I Believe in Christ
We were asked to sing I Believe In Christ to share with our church congregation virtually on Easter Sunday since there is a stay-at-home mandate due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Xavier was not too happy about it, but for the very first take, he did great. I would have re-recorded it once I saw that... Continue Reading →
Joseph Smith’s First Vision
This video took way longer than it should have. Back in the October 2014 General Conference, Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, invited everyone to consider recording Joseph Smith's account of the First Vision in our own words. I tried doing an audio recording of everyone reading it during a... Continue Reading →
Ward Christmas Variety Show
The call went out to have a participants for a variety show for our ward church Christmas party in Port Angeles. I love Vocal Point and for years I thought it would be fun to do a skit to this number "Primarily Vocal Point" (A cappella Tribute to Children's Songbook Primary Songs). My only regret... Je Suis Enfant De Dieu

Tracting in La Rochelle France
As I look through my pictures from my mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in France, each picture seems to have a story. I served from May 1991 to May 1993. I had so many amazing experiences. Sometimes you don't realize that something significant is happening when you are right in... Continue Reading →
Testimonies of the Book of Mormon – Chantel
My series of testimonies of the Book of Mormon continues with another testimony of a family member. As I had said in the previous blog post, some of my family members had written down their testimonies of the Book of Mormon while I was a missionary in France. These testimonies were given to me, I... Continue Reading →
The Widow’s Mite in Mexico
Two years ago, my daughter Maggie and I went on a humanitarian trip of sorts with a charity called A Child's Hope Foundation. We traveled down to the Buena Vida Orphanage, in Baja, Mexico to work on the orphanage that they were building. We quickly grew to love these children, aging from toddlers to teenagers preparing to go to college.
Anti-Mormon, losing faith, being inactive
I'm 47 years old. I haven't always been active in the Church. (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) I stopped going to church when I was about 16 and didn't start going back until I was 19. During that time of being inactive in the Church, I never doubted the teachings. I never... Continue Reading →
