Testimonies of the Book of Mormon – Eldred

Yesterday I posted on my blog about a number of testimonies my family members had written while I was a missionary in France.  These testimonies were given to me, I translated them into French, hand-wrote them in the front of a copy of the Book of Mormon (Le Livre de Mormon), and gave them toContinueContinue reading “Testimonies of the Book of Mormon – Eldred”

Redeemer of Israel

It’s been a very uplifting and spiritual weekend.  We had a visiting general authority and an area seventy come to our stake conference. We knew that we were going to be getting a new stake presidency. Our stake president had been serving for 9 years. Elder Randall K. Bennett and his wife Shelley along withContinueContinue reading “Redeemer of Israel”

Love your enemies

As I followed the arrows around the building to the drive-thru, and just about as I was to enter the part where you place your order, a little old white Ford Escort came flying towards me going the wrong way and cut me off turning sharply to go into the drive-thru.

This is hydrocephalus

I’m a land lover. I am not crazy about flying. I like the rubber on the pavement and my feet on the ground. Up here in the Olympic Peninsula, they have these things called ferries. Not the kind you see in Fablehaven with magical powers, but the kind which float on water. They are largeContinueContinue reading “This is hydrocephalus”

One year anniversary!

It’s been one year since I started this blog!  It’s been an incredible journey. It’s much harder than I anticipated to find the time to write. When I write, I want it to be worth your time to read it, and worth my time to write. Often I jot down a thought that I wantContinueContinue reading “One year anniversary!”

Pioneer Day Lessons

In the traditional sense I do have a rich pioneer heritage,ContinueContinue reading “Pioneer Day Lessons”

Home in the Pacific Northwest

It’s official. We are residents of the Pacific Northwest! We now call Port Angeles, Washington home. It’s been a whirlwind. Pretty much ever since we decided to move to Port Angeles to be closer to my wife’s parents, every free minute has been fixing things at home, taking things to the Deseret Industries (similar toContinueContinue reading “Home in the Pacific Northwest”

Fading away

I grew up in the 80’s and Marty McFly was a household name. He was the main character played by Michael J. Fox in the hit movie Back to the Future. There is a scene where a picture of him of him and his siblings start fading because it looks like history has been changed, and his parents might not get together.

Moving to Port Angeles, WA

Well I better officially announce that in June we are moving to Port Angeles, Washington to be closer to Jen’s parents. FAQ: 1. Why is there a moving van in your driveway? The big moving van is for the declutter move. Jen and I are driving up this weekend and storing a bunch of thingsContinueContinue reading “Moving to Port Angeles, WA”
